   Great kid.

   Had an optimist in my early years. My father tried for years for me and my sister to take sailinglessons but eventually he gave up.
   We bought a H-boat together some years ago however so I guess something stuck about sailing.

   Clearly you have never had to hike out of a boat before mew. It gets very hard on the top of the feet and the bottom gives grip when you are moving around as well as protects the feet when a slip happens and you jam your foot into something.

    Keep sailing young man and ignore any of those negative comments posted. I love watching it as does my 8 year old son. It has inspired us to work towards sailing Opti’s next season.
